Zesty Citrus Soy Pork Appetizer

Easy to prepare. Plan 2 days in advance for ultimate marinating time and best flavor results.

1/2 cup MITSUKAN Ponzu Citrus Seasoned Soy Sauce
1/2 cup HOLLAND HOUSE Sherry Cooking Wine
1/2 cup honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 whole pork tenderloins, each 1 pound

2/3 cup sesame seeds
1 Tbsp. lemon zest (finely grated or chopped yellow rind)
2 Tbsp. orange zest (finely grated or chopped orange rind), divided
1/2 cup Chinese style hot mustard (or Dijon style for less heat!)

Mix together first 5 ingredients of marinade and pour over pork in deep glass dish. Refrigerate, covered, 2 days, turning pork 2-3 times if not fully immersed in marinade.

In advance or just before serving, toast sesame seeds, lemon zest, and 1 tablespoon orange zest in large dry cast iron skillet over medium heat, stirring continuously 3-4 minutes, until lightly toasted. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

Stir remaining tablespoon orange zest into hot mustard. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Remove pork from marinade and place on baking rack over pan. Bake 45 minutes or until internal meat temperature reaches 155-160 degrees. Remove from oven and let cool. Refrigerate, covered or wrapped, until ready to slice.

Slice pork into 1/4 inch slices and arrange on plate. Cut slices in half, if desired.

Serving suggestions: Serve sides of seeds/zest and mustard. Pork is first dipped into mustard, then into seeds/zest. Fun family fare or party appetizer. Display pork on festive plate with small Asian style bowls for sides of mustard and seeds/zest.
