Toasted Sesame Hummus

Easy, healthy, homemade.

Ingredients

1 can (16-17 oz.) garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
1/3 cup toasted sesame seeds*
3 Tbsp. NAKANO Natural Rice Vinegar
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. ground cumin

Directions

Drain beans, reserving liquid. Place toasted sesame seeds in blender or food processor. Cover and blend until finely ground. Add beans, rice vinegar, olive oil, garlic, cumin and 3 tablespoons reserved liquid. Cover and blend until smooth. Add more reserved liquid to desired consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Makes 1 3/4 cups.

* To toast sesame seeds: Place seeds in a frying pan. Heat until lightly golden, shaking pan occasionally. Remove from heat and cool completely. Or toast seeds in toaster oven.
