Slow-Braised Ribs


1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. each salt and pepper
1 to 2 lbs. lean ribs, boneless or bone-in
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. Mrs. Dash No-Salt Seasonings
3 cloves garlic
1 whole onion, chopped
Sprig of rosemary and/or thyme
1/4 cup HOLLAND HOUSE Red Wine Vinegar
3/4 cup HOLLAND HOUSE Sherry Cooking Wine


Stir together flour, salt, and pepper. Dust meat with mixture. Brown meat in olive oil in a Dutch oven or large skillet. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until meat is tender (Or use a slow cooker; cook for 6-8 hours). 

Suggestions: Serve meat alone or atop steamed rice, potatoes, or noodles. Or serve meat between hard rolls or bread, and use sauce to dip. 

Makes 4 to 5 servings.
