Asian Blackened Steak Burger


1 lb. lean ground beef (round steak)
1/4 cup MITSUKAN Ponzu Citrus Seasoned Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp. chopped green onion (white part)
1 tsp. Chinese five spice
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
4 sesame hamburger buns
4 tsp. Chinese sweet and hot mustard
4 slices tomato


Mix meat with 2 tablespoons of the Ponzu, onion, five spice, pepper and garlic powder. Shape meat into 4 patties. Brush with some Ponzu on both sides. Pre-heat non-stick skillet on medium. Fry patties until blackened on both sides and thoroughly cooked. Coat cooked meat with remaining Ponzu. Thinly spread mustard on base of each bun. Place meat and tomato over mustard and cover with bun.
