Ginger Hot Fudge Sauce


1 bar (4 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate, broken into small pieces
1/2 cup MITSUKAN Mirin Sweet Cooking Seasoning
2 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. finely chopped crystallized or sugar ginger
1 Tbsp. butter


Break chocolate into heavy saucepan. Combine chocolate, Mirin and milk. Stir frequently on low heat until very smooth. Add ginger and butter. Heat just to boiling; turn off heat. Let stand until ready to serve dessert. Reheat sauce and serve over ice cream. Garnish with sliced almonds and mandarin oranges, if desired. This sauce keeps well for a week. 

Makes 4 servings (about 1 cup).
