Chilled Asparagus Salad

This springtime asparagus salad can be made ahead of time. Keep the undressed, cooked asparagus in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Add the diced onion and vinaigrette about 10 minutes before serving. 

Ingredients

1 lb. fresh asparagus
2 Tbsp. diced red onion
1 small clove garlic, minced or crushed in a press
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp. HOLLAND HOUSE White or Red Wine Vinegar
1/2 tsp. dried basil or 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
1/4 tsp. salt
