Ginger-Honey Sour Drink



1 oz. fresh ginger root 
2 oz. honey 
2 oz. rock sugar candy 
3 1/2 oz. Mizkan Rice Vinegar


Wash ginger root thoroughly and dry well. With the skin on, slice ginger very thin.

Using a jar with a tight fitting lid (avoid metal lids), pour honey and Mizkan Rice Vinegar into it. Tightly cover the jar and shake vigorously to mix the contents well. Then add sliced ginger and rock candy into the mixture. Cover and refrigerate.

Once a day, for one week, shake the jar mixing the contents. The mixture is ready to enjoy and the sliced ginger in the jar is also edible, if desired, after seven days. Keep the jar in the refrigerator to keep the drink fresh longer.

The finished drink is concentrated, and needs to be diluted with warm water (or cold water) to the ratio of 1 (drink) to 5 (water).

NOTE: This drink is delicious when mixed with hot water or hot tea in winter, and club soda, ginger ale or cold water in summer.
